TSE conducted a comprehensive analysis of the current corporate governance situation of TSE listed companies and issued the "TSE Listed Companies White Paper on Corporate Governance 2011."
For the purpose of reporting and publicizing current progress of the corporate governance efforts of listed companies, the "White Paper" is issued biennially after "TSE Listed Companies White Paper on Corporate Governance 2007" was issued in March of 2007. The 2011 edition provides comparisons with the findings of previous research and also focuses on the state of implementation of new measures on TSE's listing system, such as independent directors/auditors system.

The Principles of Corporate Governance for Listed Companies were formulated at the TSE in March of 2004 based on suggestions made by the Listed Company Corporate Governance Committee. Enhancing corporate governance should be accomplished though the voluntary efforts of listed companies combining with the appraisal of such by the shareholders and investors participating in the market, and the purpose of these Principles is to offer the foundation of common understanding necessary for doing so.
