TSE Home Price Indices (tentative calculation)

TSE Home Price Indices are the first indices in Japan based on the price change information of the equivalent properties registered in Real Estate Information Network For East Japan. This index will be one of the indicators regarding property prices and be expected to stimulate the property investment market including J-REIT. In addition, this will make it possible to compare the international used condominium price trend.

Overview

TSE Home Price Indices are calculated using Value-Weighted Arithmetic Repeat Sales algorithm under cooperation with Real Estate Information Network For East Japan and WASEDA University. They cover Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba and Tokyo Metro Area.
The value of index is calculated based on the combination of contracted prices of the equivalent property.( Repeat Sales Method) Due to using the same methodology in the world, this will make it possible to compare the international used condominium price trend.
