Calculation of TOPIX in relation to shares of NIPPON TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE CORPORATION (9432)

Tokyo, February 9, 2012– Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) announced today that, as of the close of trading on February 28, 2012, it will include the shares of NIPPON TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE CORPORATION(“NTT”, Code: 9432) held by the Ministry of Finance of Japan when calculating TOPIX and its sub-indices.

Although the shares held by the Ministry of Finance of Japan were not originally included in the number of listed shares to be used for index calculation, they will now be included in conjunction with the repurchase of treasury stock by NTT on February 8, 2012.
