Regarding media reports on remarks by TSE's President

It is reported in some media that Mr. Atsushi Saito, President and CEO of the Tokyo Stock Exchange mentioned in an interview that "it is desirable to conduct reconstruction and legal liquidation of The Tokyo Electric Power Company Limited." However, the TSE would like to clarify that Mr. Saito simply showed the idea that when debt forgiveness is required, measures should be taken under clear rules and laws based on the Corporate Rehabilitation Law or special legislation in its place.
