Request for Report, etc. (Commencement of Secondary Examination) from the Japan Fair Trade Commission in relation to the Business Combination between Tokyo Stock Exchange Group, Inc. and Osaka Securities Exchange, Co., Ltd.

Tokyo Stock Exchange Group, Inc. (TSE) and Osaka Securities Exchange, Co., Ltd. (OSE) have filed notification to the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) on January 4, 2012 in accordance with the Anti-Monopoly Act. Today, secondary examination commenced as a request for report, etc. was issued by the JFTC.

This request for report, etc. was conducted after the JFTC acknowledged that a more detailed examination was required regarding the business combination's impact on competition. This request does not indicate an issue with the combination in relation to the Anti-Monopoly Act.
