Criteria for Delisting

1. In case the underlying security is delisted Delisting date of the underlying security (1) In case the underlying security is delisted due to the corporate consolidations such as mergers, stock-exchanges and stock-transfers (excluding in case the underlying security is assigned to the delisting post) Last trading day for existing contract month whose last trading day is on or after a business day prior to the delisting date will be set into 2 business days prior to the delisting date. On or after the date designated by TSE, trading of new contract month whose last trading day is on or after the date of the corporate consolidations will not be started unless the options contract has no existing contract month whose last trading day is on or after the date of the corporate consolidations.
(2) In case other than the above (1) Last trading day for existing contract month whose last trading day is on or after a business day prior to the delisting date will be basically set into 2 business days prior to the delisting date. From a business day after the date when TSE decides the delisting of the underlying security, trading of new contract month will not be started.
2. In case falling under "Minimum liquidity requirement (*)" Second Friday of April   Last trading day for existing contract month will be set into one business day prior to the delisting date. From April 1st, trading of new contract month will not be started.

  • (*1)TSE will be able to delist individual options underlying a certain security if there is no transaction of such options contracts during a fiscal year (from Aprilto the following year's March). An examination date for such decision on the delisting is the end of March.
  • (*2)This criterion don't apply if such underlying securities are the component stock of TOPIX 100.
